Bonnie Tyro featured quilter at 2023 Quilt Show
We are gearing up for our 2023 Outdoor Quilt Show on Saturday, June 10th. Today we want to introduce one of our Featured Quilters, Bonnie Tyro. Below is her "quilting biography":
I grew up in Northwestern Montana with a very patient mother and grandmother who influenced my love of fabric and garment making. Neither were quilters and I really believed I had zero interest in quilting. Until my sister convinced me to go to a log cabin quilt class 30+ years ago. I was hooked. After many log cabins and lone stars’, I began to find other options at additional quilt shops and classes and more fabrics and textures. I couldn’t wait to start the next project.
Totally out of the blue, I was offered a sales representative position with Moda Fabrics. It was a mid-life career change and I loved it for 15 years. I was in quilt shops every day, explored all of Montana and met wonderful people. A bright spot in my travels was Enchanted Room in Glendive and Laura and Myrna.
I was surprised and honored when Laura suggested I share my quilts with you. What a great way to make new quilt friends, see what others are creating and find new inspiration!
Bonnie will be displaying several of her projects from her lifetime of quilting. We hope to see you all the day of the show!
